Crew Chief Job Description
- Assist Logistics Officer with routine maintenance tasks to include:
- Complete inspection of interior and exterior of the ambulance checking for damage
- Complete light check
- Complete fluid check
- Complete tire pressure check
- Ensure all fasteners are properly fitted (panel, overhead bar, door latch and other miscellaneous fasteners)
- Ensure ambulance is stocked and ready for use per Virginia OEMS guidelines
- Clean ambulance as necessary
- If any of the above need repair, repairs will be made in house if possible or reported to Logistics Officer for further action
- Encourage the duty crew to do their part as stated in the bylaws
- Assist in preparing all ambulances for Virginia State OEMS inspections
- Assist in regular (Monthly?) thorough cleaning and restocking of ambulances
- Assist in transportation of equipment to and from the garage for service
- Maintain ready locker
